SERVE AT RIVERCREST

At the very heart of the gospel is a demonstration of service. Speaking of His own manner of life, Jesus said, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:35). The Apostle Peter reminds us of this priority in serving by saying that "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Peter 4:10). That means that serving is not something that we have to do, but something that we get to do, and are gifted and empowered to do. At Rivercrest, our desire is to practice the way of Jesus in every avenue of life, and as we serve, we have the joy and honor of participating in the work that He is doing.
