I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Both my father and mother are believers in the gospel of Christ. They taught and lived out the gospel to my sister and I. We began going to Cornerstone Presbyterian Church until I was in about the 4th grade. I didn’t fully understand the gospel then but knew that Jesus was the Son of God, both fully man and fully God, that He died for me to save me from sin, and He rose again. It did not become real to me until after we had been at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church and I was in the 8th grade. I went to a summer service camp where middle schoolers from surrounding Presbyterian churches came together to serve a variety of organizations or partnerships. I heard the gospel for what felt like the first time. I understood my need for grace, for a perfect Savior, and I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.

My attitude and my joy came from something new and for the first time I felt like everything my parents had told and shown me was real. After my freshman year of college, I realized that simply knowing the gospel and repenting and Jesus entering my heart wasn’t what being a Christian means, and God calls me to so much more. To walk with him daily, in good and bad, with faith and obedience is a life that I wanted and knew God wanted with me.

"In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." - 1 John 4:10. My only boast is in my Savior, Jesus Christ, who has saved me to eternal life. By His grace I aim to help others know the saving power of the gospel.
