I was blessed to have been born into a Christian family where I was brought up in the Church and taught the importance of having a relationship with Christ. One Summer morning when I was 11 years old, a small private plane crashed into my house. Because of Divine intervention, my family and everyone on the ground was safe and not harmed. This really opened my eyes to the fact that there is a God, and he loves me.

Through high school and the beginning of college I was Christian by association, and only when it was convenient for me. I was blessed to have met my wife Sarah early in college who was a strong believer. Some good friends and she got me involved back in the local Church volunteering with the high school and middle school youth groups. Spending more time in the Word and maturing in my faith really caused the Holy Spirit to work on my heart and to help me recognize my depravity and my need for a Savior.  I understand that I am only saved by Grace through faith in Christ alone.

Sarah and I were married in 2004. We have 1 son, Andrew. I was ordained as a Deacon in the PCA at our previous Church, where we also volunteered as leaders in the college class.  It was tough for us to leave our Church family to help plant Rivercrest, but we have been blessed in so many ways are excited for what God has instore for our future.
